California Debt Blog: Wa Mu Mistakenly Sells Woman’s House

August 19, 2009 by Jonathan Stein

It is amazing that this happens, but Washington Mutual (now Chase) mistakenly sold a woman’s house in Florida. NBC in Miami is reporting that the woman came home to the Sheriff throwing her family out of a house she just refinanced. Ultimately, she did get her home back after a court ruled in her favor.

It is amazing how many problems we are having with foreclosures. Banks are foreclosing on homes when people are not behind. Banks are selling the wrong home. And yet, at least in California, our legislature wants to make it more difficult for people to keep their homes. Maybe its because most legislators are not facing these same issues.
