Midland Funding is at it again. I have written before about how they sue folks through Erica Brachfeld. This time they have decided to sue a client – twice.
First, Midland Funding sued my client through Ms. Brachfeld. I filed an answer and she dismissed her case. Now, she has sold the debt to LVNV – another of Bud Hibbs‘ debt collection companies to watch out for. LVNV is now suing my client on the same debt. Amazing.
This doesn’t happen in any other area of law. If I sue someone for a car accident and then dismsis the case, it is gone. But these debt collectors repeatedly do this. And there is only one way to stop them: to fight these cases.
