I was talking to a new client today. He has some issues with a credit card. This is not new for me. This explains a lot of my calls this year. I asked him if he had any other problems. His answer: “I don’t know.”
Why did he not know? Because he had not checked his credit report in some time. He did not realize he could get a credit report for free. I told him to check it out.
Have you checked your credit report? Every 12 months you are entitled to a free credit report from here. (Notice it is not from FreeCreditReport.com, which actually requires you to pay for a service to get a free credit report.) Make sure you check your credit report yearly.
