According to the LA Times, Health Grades Inc is now offering hospital price lists for a $7.95 per search fee. The service will provide you with the cost of select hospital expenses. They will not price compare for you.
Why do I share this with you? For two reasons. First, if you have a HSA or other medical plan where you have a large deductible, this will help you get some idea about the costs of services. Second, if you decide to settle your own injury case, this could help you figure out the costs of future services. I think this program has a lot of potential.
