I received an email over the weekend from someone who needed help with a legal issue. His problem was pretty straight forward and I probably could have helped him resolve it. But………………you knew there had to be a but.
In this case, he hired a non-lawyer to help him with his issue. The non-lawyer has not done what needed to be done. And now to clean up the problem, its a lot more work. I can probably get it done, but what would have cost $1,000 or so, is now going to cost $5,000 or so.
Moral of the story: When you need legal work done, hire an attorney.
